Josh grew up in Indiana and Iowa before attending Princeton Theological Seminary in New Jersey. He has served in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and UCC in Philadelphia, Hawai'i, Mexico, and Michigan. He most recently served the PA SE Conference as Minister of Youth & Young Adult Discipling. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre/Speech from Northwestern College (IA). Josh has served in youth and young adult ministry for 18 years in a variety of ministry settings across different denominations, regionally, nationally, and in Latin America.
Called to ministry as a teenager, Josh is passionate about mentoring youth and empowering younger generations to make a positive impact in the world, providing opportunities for them to embody peace and justice in their communities.
Josh is also a trained actor and performs regularly with the dinner theatre company, Without a Cue Productions, LLC. He has developed theatre arts curriculum for use in worship, youth groups, Confirmation/Catechism classes, and a variety of settings.
One may find Josh running around and shooting baskets as gym rats are known to do; strumming on the guitar, traveling, learning language, or making strange and funny faces. He lives in the NW suburbs of Philadelphia with his wife Maria.
